Mood Board
To start off my mood board I searched the web for relevant images that I could use to create what you are seeing to the right. In the mood
board my focus was too gather illustrations that
would help me when it comes to my design
process. As you can see I have gathered all
things Halloween. This is due to the theme I
am interested in doing and as you might of
guessed the theme is Halloween. After looking
at relevant illustrations I decided to look and
see how I could turn my flavour into an
illustration, if you don't know I have decided to
create Pumpkin Spice for my flavour of Fanta.
To create this flavour in an illustration form I
had to view some inspiration. This is what you
can see on the bottom right of my mood board.
After finishing looking at illustrations I went onto looking at some typography. Obviously Fanta have some typography of their own and we are unable to change that factor of the Fanta bottle. But it won't stop me from including other forms of typography that suit the theme of the bottle. For example, looking at the trick or treat typography that could be something that I could include when it comes to designing the Fanta bottle. I wanted to get an overall feel for what I could add and what I didn't want to add. Finally, I looked at original Fanta and other competitors bottles to see how their logos differ depending on the flavour. Looking at this shows me ways I can display my work and also highlights problems that I could go around and not have those problems when designing the Fanta bottle. Overall I was very happy with this and if I was to do it again I would focus on adding some images to make the page look a bit more full.
Design Plan
My design plan for my Fanta label is to design a Halloween theme. This will include the Fanta logo as the centre piece of the design and
this will have clouds underneath. Therefore
this indicates that the logo is the moon and
the label will include a hallowing wolf
on one side of the label. The wolf will be
situated on the edge of a mountain top .
The mountain top will rap around the label
and come to an end at the other side of the
logo. This is where i could include a witch
flying around and also i could add additional
features that fit my theme. All of the work
included will be illustrated by myself and it
will be interesting to see how it turns out.
Moving onto the two logos as you can see each one is different, one has the text box at an angle and the other has a straight on approach. When it comes to designing these logos i would use a poll system to see what logo my friends and family like the most. This therefore helps me decide what logo i am going to use and also gives me feedback on areas that i could improve on. Overall i think these sketches will come in very handy and will give me a rough look on how the finished product will look like. If i was to do the sketches again i would think about including colours and make the sketches a bit more depth, therefore making it clearer for when i go the designing stage.
