Feedback (10/01/2021)

The feedback given was marked on the previous work i had completed, these include the blank poster, interactive poster and anaglyph 3d images. Last week was a fun week we got to experiment with all new skills and also touch up on some skills that needed some improving. One of the new skills i had learnt was using a wide range of paint brushes. In Adobe Photo-shop there is a massive variety of paintbrushes that you are able to use. Each brush is used for something different, one of the brushes that i learned to use effectively was grass paint brush. One of my ideas was to create a piece of text out of bush texture, that piece of text would of looked weird if it was floating in my page. So i had to create a base underneath and what better than some grass texture. Using this new tool was exciting yet nerve racking, this was because each brush behaved differently, one brush would stay in one orientation and another would change its orientation all the time it is being used. Another skill i grew fond of using was turning an image into an Anaglyph 3D image, there is something about turning a 2D image into a 3D image that excites me. Maybe its the fact that the image can then be seen in two forms or even the fact that a photo i could of taken is now jumping out of the page.

Although i could say everything i did was amazing there are still some areas that need some improving. Like my tutor pointed out i should be evidencing my inspirational sources. So when i find a piece of work that i like and i think would benefit the outcome of my work i would save that image and annotate it onto my coursework. This will then show what work inspires me and also how that piece of work has enabled me to create the work that i have. Another area that i could improve on is adding some drawings of my own into my work. For example when i was creating the blank poster i spent a lot of time scratching my head thinking about potential background ideas. This would of been a perfect time for me to use my own experiments with a pencil and paper. Once an idea has been created i could scan  that piece of work into Adobe and see what it looks like matched with the work i had completed on Adobe already. There are also benefits to drawing my own details. Sometimes i find it hard to create the designs i want to with a mouse and i feel that the designs that i am unable to complete with a mouse would be able to be completed with my own hand. So in the future whenever i get stuck on a design or even when i want to experiment i am going to get a piece of paper out and of course a pencil and see how this form of illustration will be able to boost my outcome.
