Why is reviewing other work important
One of the best benefits of regular reviews is the opportunity to improve the overall performance of one another. Taking the time to analyse the work produced by one another is the perfect opportunity to find areas that might need improving, A good review includes enough detail to give others a feel for what went well and what went bad in their work, Explain which factors contributed to them succeeding or even areas that still need some improvement. Always remember things are friendly and courteous.
Communicating with my partner
To start this advertisement project we was partnered with someone in our class, to start with me and my partner sent our files over to each other. These included our Brand identity prisms, our logo as a png, our design brief and finally our brand guidelines. Before starting any work we decided to communicate through teams, in teams we spoke about different aspects of our designs and what we wanted each other to complete in this task. I wanted my partner to create me a poster for my new upcoming brand, my partner asked my to create him different styles of logos he could use for his brands t shirt line. We both had a clear understanding of what we both wanted to achieve in this project. We also spoke about certain aspects that we wanted each other to avoid when creating each others advertisement. Therefore we are both providing a clear image of what we both want our brands to achieve in this project. Throughout the whole project we will use this software to communicate with each other and provide the stages of our design process. Therefore if there was something that could be improved we would be able to tell each other instead of not knowing what the other partner likes and dislikes.
Communicating with my partner extended
After finishing the designing side of this project we went onto assessing each others work, this included looking over one another's wix websites . To start with we went over to teams and sent over our wix links to one another. We then assessed each others wix links and provided one another with the appropriate feedback, we looked at what went well, even better if and how we would could improve the even better ifs. This provided the information needed to improve our wix websites and also see what areas we are progressing well in. It is important to do this due to if someone was good at annotating but not so good at the practical work and they were partnered with a good practical worker but not so good annotator. They would be the perfect pair, this is due to the fact that they are opposite in the areas that they are good in, therefore they will both provide feedback on the area that each partner is not so good in. The feedback that i was provided is very beneficial as i didn't notice a bit of my work was missing, so without my partner looking over my wix website i would never of known that, that piece of work was missing. After giving back our feedback we both went onto making the adequate improvements to our own wix websites. Below you will be able to see the full communication me and my partner had throughout the design process. Overall i thought that me and my partner had a good amount of communication always asking if there is any improvements we would like to add. Also talking about the things that went well in our design process.
